Cave Creek Council Meeting

Regular Council Meetings are held on the first and third Monday of the month unless they fall on a Holiday or are canceled.
In case of a holiday, the Regular Council Meeting is conducted the following Tuesday. The public is encouraged to participate in person at Town Hall, or remotely via Zoom. Regular Council Meetings are also recorded and available by video on the website under Council Videos.

We will begin with a lecture at the Holland Center by Dr. Jenny Hall, Astronomy Faculty at Paradise Valley Community College, then walk across the parking lot to view the night sky on the the PVCC half-dome telescope.
Please feel free to bring blankets or chairs to make yourself more comfortable at PVCC, we have plenty of chairs for the lecture at the Holland Center!
Presented by Desert Foothills Land Trust, the Holland Center, and PVCC Black Mountain Campus as part of the Foothills Speaker Series and Starry Nights.

The festival will take place in downtown Carefree, at the corner of Easy and Ho Hum streets. Hours are 10am to 5pm each day. Parking is free all weekend. All together, this event promises to be a weekend to forever remember.

Prickly Pedal Bike Race
Saturday, January 20th, 2024, 8:30am at Spur Cross/Mount Pleasant
The Prickly Pedal Mountain Bike Race will be taking place in Spur Cross Ranch Conservation Area on Saturday, January 20th from 8:30 am to approximately 12noon. The race begins in the Town of Cave Creek and riders will be riding north on Spur Cross Road into the conservation area and travel west on the Spur Cross Trail out to the park's western boundary gate. From there the cyclists will ride west on the Maricopa Trail to the finish line at Lake Pleasant Regional Park for a total of 36 miles. While the section of the Spur Cross Trail will not be closed to other visitors, we strongly recommend that hikers and especially folks on horseback either use other trails or schedule your visit for a different time. Be advised that vehicular traffic will be held back while the main group of riders are passing through the unpaved section of road and the parking and trailhead areas. THANK YOU!
