Renn will explore the Vatican Observatory's fascinating journey from its 16th-century origins in calendar reform to its current scientific endeavors, while also highlighting Arizona's significant role in astronomical research and its ideal conditions for stargazing, including the Vatican Advanced Technology Telescope on Mt.
