DFLT Movie Night: Cactus Hotel
Desert Foothills Land Trust invites the community to a magical evening under the desert sky with an outdoor screening of Cactus Hotel on Thursday, February 19 at 6:30 p.m. at the Sanderson Lincoln Pavilion.

 

Inspired by the beloved children’s book Welcome to the Cactus Hotel, this beautifully crafted film by director Yann Sochaczewski places the iconic saguaro cactus at the heart of the story, revealing how one towering plant becomes a thriving vertical neighborhood for desert wildlife—from nesting woodpeckers to owls and other species seeking shelter through the seasons.

 

Thoughtful, educational, and fun for the whole family, this special movie night offers a unique way to experience the Sonoran Desert while supporting conservation close to home. Tickets are $25 and available at dflt.org/cactushotel, with all proceeds benefiting Desert Foothills Land Trust’s mission to protect and preserve the desert foothills region.
